If memory serves a 12oz can is just a little under 1/2 calorie.

Power-only is my guess too, and when you only have power pins connected, USB 3 defaults to 5V 1A.
Yeah, I’m hoping to get at why. Drop-shipped disposables took over Juul’s market in the US and then grew it by about 600%. It was so dramatic (in a business sense) that it’s caused ripples in US and UK trade policy, and I just assumed that blitz was happening everywhere.
Out of curiosity, what do you think Berlin’s secret is in this regard? Like, do people naturally not litter e-waste, or are there easier recycling options, import restrictions, or enforced litter laws?
The power of suggestion has turned the f in profanity into a tiny penguin facing away from me.
Noise may be something to look for when you’re shopping, depending on where your server lives. I have 1 Iron Wolf drive in my NAS (that is in my living room), and it is way louder than the combined noise of 3 WD Reds next to it.
As for failures, Backblaze publishes quarterly failure reports that I always brush up on before looking for a new drive.
spez has no power here.
For the first 3 years I had fun designing things in CAD. I fixed up or enhanced loads of the things around the house, designed some doodads and widgets, and published the ones that I though other people might have use for. And I had fun earning Prusa meters, participating in forums, and all that kind of stuff.
Then one day, I just ran out of things to fix and inspiration for new doohickeys. That was about a year ago. I tried to print a replacement keyboard foot a week ago and found my printers not working anymore. I haven’t found the motivation to do anything about it yet.
Its nice to see what my own version of hell is going to be like.

Public only storage is a dealbreaker for me.
Fusion360 is the only software I use that I cannot get running on Linux. So my wife’s last macbook now lives to play Tidal in our garage and run NoMachine so I can remote into it for Fusion.
It’s gotten to the point that I buy games without looking them up first. I’ve been running Linux as my daily driver for over a decade, and buying a game used to take research. Is there a native version (probably not but it happens once in a while)? What it scoring on ProtonDB? What have the Lutris folks figured out?
Now I just buy the game and play it. Granted I don’t tend to play competitive multiplayer games so I don’t run into cheat prevention system nightmares.
I was the first kid in middle school to have a portable dual tape deck stereo and was suddenly much more popular.
I don’t know if I was actually a GNR fan or if I just heard Appetite for Destruction so many times that I assumed I was a fan.
Kagi’s “Fediverse Forums” lens.
As long as I don’t need to know BASH parameter expansion. I can’t seem to get that right when I’m looking at the docs while I type.
But in the mean time EC2 hasn’t gotten a meaningful feature that’s not to accelerate training or inference since GP3, and people folks are backing away from serverless-first designs because cost-control and other features we’ve been screaming for for several years aren’t being addressed.
Edit to add: on the EC2 side I forgot we got Gravaton3 processors like 18 months ago. That was appreciated for sure.
Can’t answer, as I am the guy on the left (plus 10 years and 50 lbs).
