Please don’t forgot to wear a helmet when riding on 4 wheelers or ATVs. I’ve seen far too many life changing injuries on those damn things. I forced my own brother to get a good helmet when he had one and it saved his life. He flipped the damn thing on top of him and only came out with a shattered wrist. His helmet cracked like an egg but his head was fine.

They also did a foot impression and sent the ashes back in a simple but lovely clay urn. It was a little weird seeing the ashes in a ziplock inside the urn but I totally get it since they were a small family business.

I recently bought the Cat Quest trilogy. I played the first two on my switch but the third one just came out and Steam did the whole bundle at a discount so I snagged it. Been enjoying replaying the first two before I start on the new one.

I’m torn about this because I have good mentors but I genuinely want to try to learn how to code and not just have the answers given to me right away. At least I’m only working on volunteer project so being slow isn’t really holding anyone else up.

I didn’t even know this was coming. I’m beyond excited.

I’m using mine almost exclusively now. My PS4 is dying and I don’t want a PS5 so I’m currently buying my favorite games from that system in steam. Occasionally I’ll co-op game on the Xbox with my husband and I’ll pick up my switch whenever I get the itch to play animal crossing. But truthfully my vision is getting worse as I get older so the steam deck has become my favorite. My only regret is not getting the version with bigger storage. I haven’t tried streaming games from my PC yet but that’s my only option right now for larger games like Forza.

I agree. The same thing with the words idiot and moron. I find the whole evolution and usage of words to be fascinating.

I really do think about this from time to time as to why we ever even used this word. I grew up the same as you where we all said it and used it as a replacement word for “ass” in situations where cussing wasn’t allowed but you needed a word that hit a bit harder than calling someone stupid. I can’t ever remember a time anyone I knew using it as a slur because someone would beat your ass if you got caught bullying anyone disabled. Now that I know that it is offensive I don’t use it. But for me it’s a bit weird fully relating to the current perception of the word in today’s society because I still have mostly positive memories of goofing off with friends associated with it.

This is good to know. I want to put Mint on my laptop but I do like the look of steamdeck desktop too.

If it makes you feel better I love junk flyers because it’s free bird cage liners for me. And the nicer quality the paper the easier it is to clean up after my birds. I’ve actually had friends save their junk mail for me.

If you can find a copy I would suggest the first Sly Cooper game.

American here, the gas station is our version of the local corner store. Most places you have to drive to get to it but where I live there is one right at the entrance to the neighborhood and lots of adults/kids do walk there. I would sorely miss it if it was gone.
