Gimp works fine… but it’s not intuitive and the UI/UX is horrible.

If she uses software from CC and not only stores data there then I don’t think anything will be able to replace it without frustration. You have to get used to a whole different workflow.

This. Read some studys about it recently. Didn’t know it was such a big issue before. My bedroom is literally like 4m away from the kitchen and my flatmates never close doors when I’m gone :D

It only goes through their Wikipedia LLM if you push that button
It’s fairly secure that it works, because it’s basically setting up a VPN connection that effectively blocks every network traffic outside of the tunnel.
But if you wanna be 100% sure you need to invest either the time or root your phone.
It’s a game you can’t win, because power vacuums are just filled by already existing power monopols.

Jep, all of this is true. I have two chats with some people because of that.
Also you can’t search for words within e2e chats, which is a pain in the ass sometimes.
Almost no one uses telegram e2e, because it’s not automatically activated. Also group chats are not e2e.
I still like to use telegram tho.
Also doesn’t Whatsapp just use the signal protocol for e2e?
It’s not a compromise to make another download button for the last release as well. No one looses.
While I understand your frustration, intuitive UI/UX is ‘real’ and not just a marketing gag. But you have to invest the money and the time to do proper user research.
