  • Never responded. I didend up buying a keychron. They didn’t have the blues in stock, so I bought one with browns and ordered blue switches. They also were out of the model that had Wi-Fi, but I figured Bluetooth is fine. Turns out, I love the brown switches. Also, I realized my rig is so old and randomly upgraded that I don’t even have Bluetooth.

Anyway, it’s the best keyboard I’ve ever owned. Works great with my various laptops. I now enjoy typing. Many thanks for the recommendation.

  • Sonos sucks.

I bought their products because at the time there wasn’t much else in the Wi-Fi speaker market. It worked well enough. Then their app (the only way to connect to them) got worse and worse. Some days the speakers just wouldn’t work. Others the app couldn’t find them. I’ve had to reset the entire system many times, which for some insane reason takes like an hour and doesn’t always work.

Want to change which network the speakers are on? Good luck. You would think you just select the network and type in a password like every other app in the world, but no, it’s a nightmare. After hours of factory resets and physically connecting the speakers to my router, my speakers are sometimes on one of my two networks, sometimes on the other, and sometimes unable to be found.

If you’re considering buying Sonos, look at their play store reviews.

    Fuck Sonos.

  • Messages went from $.05, to $.10, to $.20 to send and receive. That was in the span of three years. All of the companies said it wasn’t collision. They just happened to arrive upon massive increases separately.

If I recall, one of the CEOs said “We’re raising the prices to save customers money. This way they’ll be an unlimited plan”

The telcos should have been broken up then. Instead we’ve seen even more mergers.

    • Edit: forgot to include the years. This was in the U.S. circa 2005-2008. Telcos have moved onto other sleezy practices now.*

  • The hardest part of meeting girls is talking to them. It takes guts to put yourself out there and resilience to handle the rejection if it doesn’t go the way you want.

Ask her out. A public option is good. Something she likes. Comics are a good start if that’s her thing.

If she says ‘yes’. On your date:

    • Be very hygienic (shower, clean clothes, brushed teeth, gum)
    • Ask courteous questions and listen. I have yet to meet someone that doesn’t enjoy talking about themselves (yes, I know they exist). This also makes your end of the conversation easier. Favorite music, food, places to visit, hobbies, etc.
    • Have a next place in mind if things are going well, but the comic shop has gotten stale (coffee, dinner, a walk somewhere well lit, etc.). Be open to her suggestions.

If she says ‘No,’ be respectful, and try not to take it to hard. It wasn’t meant to be. Take pride knowing you had the guts to try.

Good luck. Be brave. Be respectful.
