Circumference, not width
Circumference, not width
They always have done this, even before there was a wider understanding / acceptance of neurodiversity (e.g. at Bletchley Park)
I’m not going to get into the technical details of manifest v2 and v3, as I think it’s beside the point.
I think we can agree that given Google has announced the end of v2, recommending uBlock Origin on Chrome right now would be pretty mad, right?
Ublock on Firefox. Remember Google just kneecapped adblockers on Chrome!
I tried SailfishOS, gave it about 5 years but in the end a combination of bad hardware options and small user base (leading to small number of high quality apps) led me back to Android (grapheneOS).
Two meetings a day sounds like luxury to me! I don’t have ADHD but meetings still absolutely kill my productivity. The switching penalty for technical tasks is much higher than non-technical people realise.
Just a small note that the businesses only have to open source their version if they release it. If they just use it internally then they don’t have to distribute the source code. So it depends on the use case.
Breasts are often measured in cups
I’m just grateful to have a place to discuss niche topics where there’s a reasonable balance of power between users, mods, and admins.
Federation means no more rug pulling after years of building open source apps to access proprietary services.
Proper ‘competition’ between instance owners means nobody can degrade the quality of experience for a quick buck.
Thank you for your part in building a better alternative!
Huh, TIL!
I’ve never seen/heard anyone call it a chaise lounge in the UK. Or maybe I’ve seen it written like that and just assumed it was autocorrect.
I think it was a joke? Difficult to tell on the internet!
Boost loads adds from a shitty network though. Most open source apps don’t do this stuff because nobody wants a Lemmy client to load ads; users only ever tolerate it in return for a more polished UI or whatever.
I might have to ask you more questions about this when I’m up and running!
It’s a gaming PC but I will use it for other things as well. I don’t want to complicate other tasks because I’ve chosen a really specific OS for gaming, if that makes sense.
No comments except thank you, and please continue to write similar articles!
Apt pinning is such a nice way to pull in some new packages without affecting the whole system. It’s interesting in this specific case and also more generally! I have used it before once or twice but this is the best example I’ve seen for multiple packages.
Thank you so much for the link, it’s just the kind of information I was after. Very clearly written!
I’m also mostly interested in slightly older games like Rome Remastered, I probably won’t be playing many brand new titles.
Might try and get Age of Mythology working as well as I have so much nostalgia for it!
What kind of games are you into?
I haven’t chosen cutting edge hardware (AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT) so I don’t think drivers should be an issue in my particular case.
I think separating /home is a good idea so I can try some different distros and compare.
That’s a strong wrist. Too much self-pleasure!
