I know what the Creative Commons is but not this new thing or why it keeps popping up in comments on Lemmy

People already struggle to understand copyright. Adding more confusion is doing everyone reading your license a disservice. It’s a sentence that’s a layman’s description of my intention for including it. Initially I was just using the actual Creative Commons license name, but it was confusing people just seeing letters and numbers. which doesn’t reflect the actual behaviour of the license. That’s not a different name. It’s a sentence that’s a layman’s description of my intention for including it.
