More transpiration = better nutrient uptake. It is entirely possibly to cause nutrient defficiency symptoms if your plant has not got enough nutrient uptake to keep up with your light levels.
Not at all. Why would I remove leafs the plant spent energy making that only provide photosynthesis at this point?

That’s a great point, need to read up on that a little more.
Since removing the humidifier, the plants drinking a hell of a lot more and that makes total sense.
