What can you get to within a 15-minute walk of your house?

A recent YouGov survey asked Americans what they think they should be able to get to within a 15-minute walk of their house.

Of these choices, I can currently walk to all of them from my apartment, aside from a university (no biggie, I’m not currently studying, although there is a Tafe within walking distance), a hospital, and a sports arena.

How many can you get to with a 15 minute walk from your house?

    The fact that it’s called a gas station rather than convenience store on a survey about walking is somewhat disappointing.

      They’re two different things to me. Although I don’t get why I’d walk to a gas station… Maybe for some diesel lawn mowers or something?

        That’s what I was initially thinking too, I was surprised there is no convenience store in list. I suspect that whoever wrote the survey as well as many people taking it meant convenience store rather than truly a gas station.

          What is a convenience store for? I always thought they were for areas with fewer supermarkets but why do I need a convenience store if I have a supermarket close?
