there were probably so many vehicles parked everywhere when this fella pulled up that this was the only place to park. then those people left, making this person look like a selfish asshole.

Not technically the topic of this community, but close enough I guess.
I’ve definitely been that accidental asshole that gets to reap the public ire due to the ripple effects of someone else’s bad parking.
Also been witness to situations where someone needed space for a wheelchair but didn’t have a handicap placard with them, so had to pull a move like this on purpose.
All in all, I’m not as snap-judgment about this stuff as I was 10-15 years ago.
Edit: Also have found it revelatory witnessing friends/acquaintances get mad about stuff like this.
Me: “Why are you mad?”
Them: “Well, if they just get away with it, then everyone will do it!”
Me: “I still wouldn’t do it.”
Them: “Really?”
Me: shocked pikachu face — they were mad because they secretly want to violate pretty basic norms of decency wtf
Yes, the community doesn’t complain about bad parking, we complain that parking is bad. Why isn’t this lot productive business space with residential above with community gardens at ground level. But instead it’s ecological and economic death and despair so people can freely temporarily abandon their private property in a public place.
I mean, I’ve definitely had to park close to the lines and such but I’ve seen many a giant pick up obviously taking up 2, nay 4 parking spaces. Absolutely no reason for that. I mean, there couldve been another car in place of that sedan parking like a dick but in that case I’d just park closer to the car on the right, even in the wheelchair scenario.
