Hi all, glad I found this community from the 3D printing one.
I’m looking to build. 2.4 and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good kit on Europe.
I did some googling, but most results I find are US or way too expensive.
I’m hoping to spend around €1000 without printed parts if possible, but willing to spend more for good quality parts.
Thanks in advance!
I just got my magicphoenix kit delivered. It has some nice addons that the default voron does not have: nevermore, tap, and canbus (no more cable chains to the toolhead). The packaging is nice, everything is placed in layers in the order that you build it.
I paid a little over €1000, and that includes some extras such as steel Y backers, a CNC tap, extra lights and DHL express shipping.
I had to pay about €230 extra in duties and tax (shipped to the Netherlands).
Thanks for sharing the experience! I was wondering about their kit, but indeed worried about the import tax.
That’s still a lot better then LDO though 3DJake for instance.
Since you haven’t received any nibbles yet, I have two suggestions:
I don’t know if you’re familiar with the various kits, but LDO is considered to be a good option by many. Their website lists what vendors in a given region carry their kit and they list a few for Europe: https://docs.ldomotors.com/voron/LDO_Voron_Distributors
A cheaper, but still fairly well regarded, kit vendor is Formbot. They have an offical website (formbot3D.com), can be purchased on Ali Express, and a few third parties resell their kits. They have a Czech warehouse, so shipping shouldn’t be too crazy?
Good luck!
Thanks for asking this question, I also found it difficult to find kits in Europe.
