I’ve been hesitant to recommend this movie because while the first half is all-in on the cyberpunk visuals, the second half of the movie takes place in the desert/wasteland. But, the theme of “what does it mean to be human” is prevalent throughout the entire movie so I’d say the story remains cyberpunk even when the visuals aren’t.

You can stream it on Hulu, Freevee, Kanopy, Plex, Roku, Peacock. Wherever.
Cyberpunk doesn’t have to be in a megalopolis, any more than westerns need to be in Monument Valley.
Cyberpunk is about the themes and concepts the story deals with, above all else.
Oh man, I forgot about this one! I remember really enjoying it, and kind of being consistently surprised at the quality of the visuals in what I’d thought was a kind of low budget film. I’ll admit I’m bad at recognizing actors and now I’m wondering if this was more expensive to make than I’d thought.
I watched it recently. It’s very good if a little predictable. Definitely worth a watch at least once.
I really enjoyed it! There was alot more going on than I expected going in.
