If you truly believe things like “returning a shopping cart” is a quality metric to determine something that complex, you are either naive or plain stupid. Sorry.
The only reason to put it away is to help others. If you are willing to do that you can likely be trusted to do the bare minimum for a group and if you aren’t you cannot be counted on for common courtesy. This isn’t a particularly challenging concept. Im not sure why you are failing but I can’t make people competent.
With that logic we’d have only decent people in Germany. Yet, we don’t have people screaming at each other like lunatics in super market parking lots. (Alone that you think that this is an acceptable behavior/solution is hilarious in itself.)
