I feel like Transmetropolitan is already well-known so I wanted to recommend a lesser-known comic.

Tokyo Ghost takes place in a cyberpunk future where the main character’s boyfriend is a tech-addicted junkie so they go to the last remaining nature preserve of Tokyo in an attempt to get him to detox. It… doesn’t go well.

If you have a US library card, you can read the entire series on Hoopla for free. And, I don’t know, you can probably read it on comixology too.
