So I realized that best feature of these sites (Lemmy, red*it, digg, Tildes …) is that I didn’t know anybody. Yes I know that friend who use it but I don’t know his username and don’t want to “follow” him…
It is then pretty easy to switch if there is enough people. And this threshold, for me, was achieved about 3 weeks ago.
Don’t take it personally but I don’t give a damn about you but will gladly chat with you about interesting topics.
These last 24 hours have really just felt like a better reddit. I find content here now. I laugh at memes here now. I didn’t know anybody on Reddit and this is just better.
I’ve been here a month… Went back to reddit and made a throwaway just to update one community on a loose thread I needed to end up. Deleted my account of 12 years… It is absolutely a breath of fresh air here and now that apps are starting to come out (liftoff for android is great) and web add-ons its really becoming nice.
