It CAN BE amazing in certain situations. Ceo tomfoolery is what’s making generative Ai become a joke to the average user.
best option is some sort of support agent work which allows remote, but you need steady hours.
if she really can’t hold steady hours for whatever reason then fiverr is the next best option. or look up things like gaming where you can sell in-game currency or resources for money
This is a feature, not a bug. It’s designed to wean you off using twitter.
I’ve never had an issue with any of the changes Facebook has made over the past 5 years.
That’s because I haven’t used facebook at all.
Why would anyone care what Russians use?
Just use the right ublock filter to get past these silly anti adblocks
Deluge has so much potential but it just crashes so often on windows.
If it helps, Google publicly releases dmca notices that they receive on lumendatabase.org, with some details censored.
This is the most privileged thing you could say.
"Hey, why isn't everyone eating sustainably sourced GMO-free, organic, locally-grown food all the time?"
Spoiler alert: it costs more
tosh? u mean like stupid shit?
Sometimes you would pay for convenience.
In its golden years, I happily paid for Netflix because it had literally everything I wanted and it was easier than torrenting everything.
idk, after a while I realised I shouldn’t be fighting so hard to use my phone. I use my phone one handed a lot on public transit so it got to the point where I decided I should actually get a phone that fits my needs, instead of trying to work around the issues with my phone.
Got the smallest samsung flagship and I’ve been really happy with it.
For me, the samsung flagships have been a godsend - small enough to use one-handed, yet powerful.
People hate on Samsung but the UI has improved over the past few years, and whatever bloat they have can mostly be uninstalled now.
As a bonus, I like the Samsung quick toggles much, much more than the pixel ones.
it’s annoying in your pocket and when using wireless charging though
I tried a bunch of things - popsockets, elastic band things, i even pasted high-friction grip tape to the sides and back of the phone directly.
After 2 years, I just went out and got a smaller phone lol
that’s your choice, and that’s entirely fine. but it’s different when a platform deliberately makes it inaccessible.
As a non developer - why does this require some sort of installation? The general idea of a search engine is “go to a website and it helps you search for websites”.
I see a lot of chat but nothing else.
If lemmy works now, use it. If the devs/admins implement weird shit, stop using it. Life ain’t that complicated.
I personally moved from lemmy.world because I don’t like their defederation policy. I also block all beehaw communities because I don’t think they’re acting in the interest of the lemmyverse. You don’t have to agree with any of that, but that’s the beauty of self-agency. Join whatver instance you want, block whatever you want, hell, use lemmy or kbin only if you agree with its policies.
That’s stupid.
The main problem with lemmy now is adoption, there isn’t a critical mass of users yet.
When users see the stats without lemmy.world, they’ll be discouraged from joining. Add to that the issues with federation and the few who join will leave because of the steep learning curve.
Way to alienate potential users.
