  • There has been exactly one thing that worked for me (other than the new relationship high when you do things with your new partner all the time, go places, lots of activity and little time for hunger. This is not sustainable though)

I watched 2 bears 1 cave when it started because I like comedy, Bert is funny and honestly a caricature unto himself, and it didn’t have as many annoying sponsor segments. Anyway, they were talking about what they were doing for Sober October and Bert, who seems to have a lot of problems similar to mine, said he was trying One Meal A Day and it felt like the first time in a looong time that his mind was sharpish and he didn’t feel the constant need to snack. So I tried it, lost 25 KG over 4 months (healthy loss, I never felt starved, I just had a high starting weight) and gained half of it back from COVID lockdown. FML. Rest came back over the next 3 years of working mostly from home and not having the spine to stick to it again. But when I was doing it, starting day 2 or 3 I did feel sort of… Free. The constant blood sugar rush-crash cycle was no more.

TL;DR: One Meal a Day. It’s awesome. No you won’t feel hungry all day.

Germany is bound eternally to Israel because they’ll never feel like they’ve atoned for the holocaust and Israel is THE Jewish state unfortunately. The historic antisemitism in Europe has been so bad that basically nobody can say anything bad about Israel without them playing the “oh we’re doing that again?” Card. I have no idea what it would take for Israel to lose that association of anti-israel = anti-jewish that they’ve got protecting their every action. I know there are a lot of Jewish people who don’t support Israel’s actions, but apparently that’s not enough.

  • Your conclusion is probably correct, but I don’t think your proof works. I’m going to play devil’s advocate now: The thing to consider here is that these women were not just raised as boys, they were also born as boys. They may be on HRT now, but what if there are differences between how the male and female brains work that come from the Y chromosome? Or your hormonal balance in your formative years? I would hope not because that gives sexists way too much ammo, but we do not know for sure.

There’s other potential reasons for all the trans women in software engineering too. Children who don’t feel comfortable in their own identities are probably way less social - I don’t have enough trans friends to confirm this is true, but I feel like it might be. Not being particularly popular in school drives you to gaming as a hobby because you don’t need friends for that, and at least in the 90s and 00s that would usually mean tinkering with your PC (because Windows never fucking worked properly, did it now). This would also explain all the furries IMO.
