Probably switched to phone gaming.
Regarding the “market tripled in size” I assume that means the amount of sales not users. So fewer people playing them, but they are buying more games.

I suppose this is one way to keep the CIA spy drones from becoming E-waste when they introduce the new models.
If they would vibe code a functional Proton Drive Linux client then I might be OK with it.
Oh shit, now I’m gonna start getting calls about my vehicle’s extended warranty expiring!
As long as you don’t live under the oppressive thumb of an HOA or city lawn ordinances, you can grow as many potatoes as is physically possible within your available space.
But when you run out of practical space, you will probably think about going vertical. But building tall structures without planning permission or city approval is likely where you will run into trouble.
I use Cura and a flash drive with my newer printer. But with my old printer that required being tethered (a Solidoodle2 from 2012) I was using MatterControl, as it was much easier and more reliable than Pronterface which came with the printer.
Though, the old PC I was using struggled when I did anything else on it while it was running the printer. The print speed would actually slow down or occasionally stop when loading a heavy webpage in a browser, for example.
WTF are you supposed to even get from a $10 monthly subscription to a power bank company?
I’ve always had good experiences with their products, but this is fucking shady.
I’ve had to do this several times on my bicycle when commuting. I would sometimes stay late and there were some red lights in the industrial park that would not detect me and there was no traffic that late.
I have had a similar experience with a group of friends from college. They have been slowly getting worse, if not quite as bad as your group. I haven’t completely cut them off, but I rarely hang out with them in person, and ignore the group chat most of the time.
I had another group of friends from rock climbing, that slowly moved away to colorado. I still talk to them online and play video games with them occasionally, but I miss the literal IRL hangs.
I’m also fortunate to have other friends from college who I have more politically in common with, we have another group chat where we talk shit about and commiserate about the other group and the general state of the world. We’ve also been trying to get together IRL more.
Makes sense with horseshoe theory. Red for authoritarians no matter left or right. Red is a warning.
I’m pretty sure that employee hates the whole situation as much if not more than you do.
Most Americans opt to have their employer take the taxes out and send them to the government for them. But its not required, we can choose to receive all of our pay and take responsibility for sending the government their cut ourselves. Its a PITA, but some opt to put their taxes in an account to earn interest for a year before paying the government. They view paying monthly as “giving the government a free loan.”
When you have your employer do it for you, your pay stub breaks down the amount you started with and how much was taken out for each tax. We can see what we are paying in tax on every paycheck which is why so many Americans complain about it.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. As much as I want to imagine 400 million people switched from windows, to Linux or mac, I suspect it’s more likely that a lot of people just don’t need any other computer besides their phone these days.
Same. I have well organized bookmarks. 10 Pinned tabs for the essentials, and whatever tabs are necessary for what I’m doing.
When I see someone’s computer with multiple browser windows open with 100s of tabs each, it just seems so overwhelming. You can’t even read the title of the tab when there’s that many open.
The “damn it I forgot, let me google it” option, back then, was looking it up in the set of encyclopedias your family probably had. Or if you didn’t have a set, or needed more elaborate information, you went to the library.
I remember it was a big deal as a kid when we got the encyclopedia Britannica on CD-Rom. So I could just type in what I was looking for instead of having to try to find it manually.
I feel like a laser cutter would have left discolored edges. Could be a cricut style bladed cutter though.
Yet another post making me wonder if I have ADHD.
