If you aren’t dead set on a career choice then university will be a waste of your time and money.
At the very least if you’re going to force yourself into school then you better major in something that has economic value. Otherwise you’ll graduate with a useless degree and a lifetime of debt.
This is your moment to shine, or make the same mistake most people make and wind yourself up in debt with little or no way to pay it back.

Coreidan@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is there steam coming out of the streets in New YorkEnglish11·2 months agoMore hot water than cold water is flowing in. It’s a simple thermodynamics problem
Coreidan@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is there steam coming out of the streets in New YorkEnglish5·2 months agoYes but hot water continues to flow in.
And it doesn’t need to stay very hot. It just needs to be warmer than the outside air temperature in order for vapor to form.
The ground and continuous hot water input keeps everything insulated.
Coreidan@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is there steam coming out of the streets in New YorkEnglish5·2 months agoWhen you take a hot shower where do you think that water is going?
Coreidan@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why is there steam coming out of the streets in New YorkEnglish42·2 months agoIt’s not poop. It’s people running hot water. That hot water needs to go somewhere and that somewhere are the sewers.
Hot water flowing through the sewers is warmer than the air temps. The air being vented from the sewers is also hot because of the water.
As the hot air comes into contact with cold air outside of the sewers you see vapor form as the cold air squeezes condensation from the hot air.
Coreidan@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•From a purely political perspective, if you oppose the US tariffs as a US resident, should you buy or avoid buying products subject to tariffs?English53·2 months agoYour advice is shit for the large majority of people reading. Coreidan@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Am I a jerk for telling my son he should find another dream (career)?English31·2 months agoI don’t think it needs to be said. He will figure it out on his own that he isn’t good enough to make it.
He will either find the drive to make the success or determine it isn’t worth it, or that it isn’t obtainable. That is just part of growing up and getting older. It’s a life experience in itself.
But to put it to bluntly at such a young age just isn’t necessary. It’s kind of dickish if you ask me. Ultimately he’s enjoying himself and having fun. Organically he will get over it and grow up. No need to do it for him and spoil the fun.
ROFL you really have no idea how things work huh
Shit advice.
Escalating the situation will not improve it.
